Announcements & Happenings...

As we enter March, we celebrate Women's History Month, honoring the achievements of women past and present while working to break barriers and create opportunities for all. In 1987, Congress declared March as National Women's History Month in perpetuity. International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8th, has roots in the early 20th century, stemming from labor movements in Europe and the U.S.
This month also coincides with the Muslim holy month of Ramadan which is a period dedicated to reflection, fasting from dawn until dusk, engaging in daily prayer and performing acts of charity. The end of Ramadan marks the celebration of Eid-al-Fitr on March 30th, when families and friends come together to commemorate the end of fasting.
